When you are choosing the size the first number is the width of the canvas the second is the height.
As an artist, my inception often starts on the canvas as an oil painter. "Human just like you", is my first piece I created solely in my digital design environment. I have devoted my life to creating a conversation within our queer community that focuses on self love, and community love, aiming to eradicate bullying and the marginalization of the other, the less than, the below. We are strong, beautiful, creative beings, filled with the light and color that makes the world think and smile. We are the wonder and the empathy that this world starves for. In "human just like you" I use the labels that we use to describe ourselves, as well as the more shocking labels that too much of humanity chooses to use to describe us. I overlay all of these words to create a deeply textural and meaningful equality symbol, and within those words we find our humanity literally human seems to lift off the canvas in bright white, reminding each observer that we are human just like them. I will be limiting this to just 100 pieces, each one has my signature and is dated 2019 as well as its sequence number.
